Hi MarkHope you don,t mind me asking but what do you use to record your vlogs??I,m seriously thinking of recording some footing myself and the clarity of your vlogs is top notch.Cheers matey
Not a problem Bryan, this video was shot exclusively on a go-pro hero 4 black edition. But I do also film a lot with a panasonic Gh4, if you was looking for a cheaper option and a nice stills camera that also shoots HD video (but not 4k) then i can recommend the slightly older Panasonic GH3 as these can be bought second hand a lot cheaper now.
Cheers for the reply Mark. I,ve been seriously considering getting a Gopro to have a play around. I,m getting more and more in my photography now and have A canon 7d mk11 i take stills with and will be playing with the video setting on that soon. Its a bit expensive to drag around fishing though lol.cheersBRYANhttp://bryansangle.blogspot.co.uk/
Not a problem Bryan, always happy to help, I think with go-pros recent drone issues the company has taken a hit so in theory prices for their action cameras should be dropping down. I hear what you are saying, that canon is a nice camera, but will weigh a lot to carry and it is expensive.
I think tricky trips can also be the most rewarding! Thanks for making these videos: they've been part of the inspiration for my returning to angling after a 20 year break and a New Year splurge on a Drennan ultralight and a small Shimano. I don't see I'll be visiting commercials for F1s anytime soon but watching your river sessions and the great sense of being there will definitely tempt me out in search of chub. Oh, and perch of course :)
Hello there KB,thanks for taking some time to post a comment on the blog regarding the videos. As much as I enjoy making them especially editing them and putting them out to be viewed, I also really appreciate it when people enjoy them so much and that it might in turn have helped spur another chap to go fishing or return to our hobby is probably one of the best feelings, so thank you and I wish you the very best on the rivers in search of chub and perch.
Very nice Mark, always enjoy the vidz mate and now I'm the proud owner of a Hero 5 black I'll hopefully get some film made and edited. All the best mate.
Hello James, thanks it's always enjoyable editing and something you'll get used to with your new go-pro, they are cracking bits of kit, be sure to film with "pro-tune" turned on as this shoots with a flatter profile so you can colour grade the footage better during editing.
Hi mark- I live in Australia and lure fish the beach for a predator we call tailor. I've been fishing all my life - as a child my mum bought me a book on coarse fishing, not knowing that it was an English thing and I went off armed with a float to do battle with a tench- needless to say I blanked however I've been fascinated with that style ever since and thus I really enjoy yr vids- particularly the small river stuff as it is so different from my normal fishing( which entails teeth, aggressive predators, large lures and 3/0 plus hooks- I've never seen smaller than a size 2)
Hello there Anonymous,I think that is brilliant of your mum to have bought you a book as a child on coarse fishing even though not related to your type of fishing, mum's are pretty good like that and very thoughtful. Thank you regarding the youtube videos,as it is always nice to receive feedback from people who watch them, I must admit I have become deeply engrossed with what our smaller waterways can produce and you could say that I have lost my soul to them a bit.
